Our Story
Signature Series Motor Company started long before it had a name — in a garage, with a father teaching his son how to turn a wrench.
That's where Chris (Owner of Signature Series Motor Company) learned all of it: how to listen to an engine before you ever pull it apart, how to tell a truck's real problem from its symptom, and how to take the time to do a job right instead of just doing it fast. But more than the mechanical side, that garage was where he and his dad spent their time together — hours that turned into a relationship built as much on shared work as on the trucks themselves.
Those afternoons stuck with him. Years later, taking on an old squarebody and bringing it back to life isn't just a business — it's a continuation of that same time in the garage, the same kind of problem-solving, the same reason for doing it in the first place.
Signature Series Motor Company is built on that foundation. We're carrying forward what was handed down to us: a respect for these old trucks, a belief that they're worth saving, and the understanding that the real value was never just in the finished product — it was in the work itself, and who you got to do it with.
We still see it that way. Every truck we take on is a chance to do the kind of work that brought a father and son together in a garage — and to pass a little of that on to the next person who gets behind the wheel.
Built to be driven. Built to be shared.
What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.

Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose.
OUR PROCESS
From find to finish, here's how a truck earns its next chapter.
Every truck that comes through our doors follows the same process — whether it's one we tracked down ourselves or one a customer brought to us wanting it done right. Here's how it works, start to finish.
THE FIND.
It starts with the hunt. We spend hours scouring the internet, auctions, and word-of-mouth leads looking for honest old trucks worth saving — solid bones, a straight frame, the kind of truck that just needs someone willing to put in the work. Sometimes the truck finds us instead: a customer shows up with a squarebody that's been sitting in the family for years, ready to be brought back to life. Either way, it starts with a truck worth the effort.
INTAKE & AUDIT.
Before a single wrench turns, every truck gets a full audit. We go over it top to bottom — frame, drivetrain, electrical, brakes, body, interior — and figure out exactly what we're working with. This is where we separate what's cosmetic from what's critical, and build a real plan for what the truck needs versus what would just be nice to have. No guessing, no assuming. We know the truck before we touch it.
THE REPAIR.
With the plan set, we get to work on the fundamentals. Mechanical issues, electrical gremlins, suspension, brakes — whatever's needed to make the truck safe, dependable, and ready to actually be driven. This is the unglamorous part of the process, but it's the part that matters most.
THE UPGRADES.
Depending on what the truck calls for, this is where it might get an LS swap, updated suspension, or other improvements that make it easier to live with today. Not every truck needs this step, and we don't force it — we only make changes that genuinely make sense for that particular truck.
THE FINISH.
Paint, bodywork, hardware, interior detailing — this is where the truck starts to look like what it's about to become. We handle the cosmetic work with the same care as the mechanical work, because a truck that runs great should look the part too.
DRIVE TIME.
Once a truck is finished, it goes on the lot at Signature Series Motor Company, ready for its next owner. Every truck we sell has already been through the full process — audited, repaired, and finished — so buyers know exactly what they're getting: a truck that's honest, sorted, and built to be driven.
From the first walkaround on a truck we just found to the final photos on the lot, we film the whole process and share it across our social channels. Followers get to see the real work — the tear-downs, the repairs, the small wins and the setbacks — not just a before-and-after. It's the same reason we got into this in the first place: we think people connect with the honest version of the story, not just the highlight reel.
